On Common Ground – This law enforcement training video was co-produced by SALDEF and the U.S. Department of Justice and is currently used to train all 45,000 airport screeners in the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Since its release in 2007, On Common Ground has also been screened to numerous federal and state law enforcement agencies throughout the United States.

A Message from Speaker Dave Hunt – A message from Speaker Dave Hunt of the Oregon House of Representatives about the successful efforts to repeal the ban on teachers wearing religious garb in Oregon. It was delivered at the 2010 National Gala.

RT News Story: This news segment on the RT international news channel highlights the work of SALDEF and documents the concerns and challenges of the Sikh American community in the post-9/11 environment. RT is broadcast to more than 200 million viewers in 100 countries on five continents throughout the world.

Towelhead Community Discussion: In 2008, SALDEF objected to the use of the racial slur “towelhead” as the title of a Warner Brothers film and participated in an hour-long debate with Academy Award winning director Alan Ball and critically acclaimed author, Alicia Erian. The debate is included as a feature on the DVD version of the film and focuses on racism and the underrepresentation of Sikhs and other minorities in the American film industry.
